Shakun Singla

M.U.D.B. Arch, AIBC Intern Architect – Landscape Designer

Shakun joined M2 in 2019. She joined M2 as a landscape technician and quickly made her way up to become a Landscape designer, where she works independently as a lead and as a part of a team for various private, public and P3 projects.

Before joining M2, Shakun brings over 5 years of multidisciplinary experience in architecture, landscape, and urban design planning. She received her Bachelor of Architecture Degree in her hometown Chandigarh, India – a city planned by Le Corbusier – where she worked for 3 years as a registered Architect. Her strong interest in constant evolution of heterogenous North American cities, landscapes and urban space design brought her to Canada to do her Master’s in Urban Design from University of British Columbia (UBC).

Shakun specializes in space design and planning, project coordination and management, preparing construction and permit drawings from conceptual to completion phases. Her strong technical background and hands-on training backs her knowledge to respond to RFI’s, City comments and preparing site review reports. Her inquisitive nature and strong interest in sustainability and green infrastructure always lead her path to explore and leverage new innovations in landscape design.

In her free time, Shakun enjoys being an Urban Safarian, exploring different cities on foot, while capturing landscapes and urban spaces. She loves being outdoor playing basketball, camping, biking, and traveling all around the globe.
