BCSLA Intern – Intermediate Landscape Designer

Preston joined M2 Landscape Architecture in 2015, providing a variety of experience in urban design, sustainable community development, and open space master planning for commercial and public realm projects across Canada. With a foundational background in turfgrass management and sports facility design, he brings a diverse approach with technical expertise and hands-on knowledge to harmonize creativity and construction practicality in all styles of landscape architecture.

Dynamic and innovative, Preston is responsible for conceptual design and drafting, in addition to on-site coordination and construction administration for multiresidential, public recreational, and mixed-use community projects at M2. He brings a collaborative approach to project management and focuses on thorough communication with clients, consultants, and contractors to maintain consistent relationships throughout every stage of development.

Preston was previously a landscape technician in Edmonton and a parks designer in Burnaby following graduation from the Landscape Architectural Technology program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Since then, he has also obtained a graduate certificate in Urban Design from Simon Fraser University, as well as completing programs in Golf Course Design at the Golf Management Institute of Canada and 3D rendering at Gaia College. He enjoys his life away from the office playing softball, golfing, and snowboarding in Whistler.
